store manager

Our store manager is extremely self-motivated and a great multi-tasker. With an infinite list of things to do, they’re able to prioritize tasks and navigate their way through the day as efficiently as possible, delegating tasks to their team with ease. They are able to see the big picture and get things done without asking. They are a compassionate mentor to their staff, and motivational when their team is doing a great job.

  • Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, maintaining an employee time sheet.
  • Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Promotes optimum staff performance by coaching, mentoring, and disciplining employees.
  • Achieves financial objectives by posting weekly sales numbers to their team, keeping them motivated and on-target.
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service requirements.
  • Ensures availability of merchandise. (ie. via inventory preparation and restoration).
  • Markets merchandise by studying advertising and sales promotions (ie. collections, featured items, what’s trending in the real world etc.)
  • Maintains store cleanliness, hygiene and presentability.
  • Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures (ie. one vs two click doorbell, how to engage/disengage thieves).
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Ensures supplies for the store are stocked, making purchase orders for store owner.

Education requirements:

High school diploma
Minimum 5 years retail experience
College diploma or degree preferred in fashion business, merchandising or marketing
