everything you want already exists
Vintage pieces come with higher quality - natural textiles, better construction, expert tailoring, and can even be union made (ethical governance). At good market you can expect thoughtful curation - the best of what’s old and new - that seamlessly integrates into your existing wardrobe. Find that standout piece for your next event, or your new favourite go-to, here. There’s enough clothes on earth for the next 6 generations, so everything you need or want is already out there. And we’re gonna help you find it.

"good market is where style and sustainability go hand-in-hand." - BlogTO
life moves fast. that's why curation matters.
meet the founder
I love the thrill of the find whether at a vintage show or thrift shop, but I don’t always love digging through endless racks of fast fashion only to find something I love, but it’s overpriced. Sorry, I just did all that work, AND I have to pay a premium? So I decided to do all the work for you - and created an entire store of one-of-a-kind treasures. Welcome to effortless thrifting - your only challenge will be that you’ll want it all.
what you wear can do good, and look good

SUSTAINABLE
Re-using what’s already out there is one step closer to building a sustainable wardrobe. If everyone bought just 1 used item instead of new this year, it would save 6 billion pounds of carbon emissions and divert 2.6 billion pounds of waste from landfills.

EXPERT CURATION
Our buyer has an extensive background in garment construction, textile expertise and fashion business. Knowing the difference between natural and synthetic fibres and how they impact our health and happiness makes all the difference.

ONE-OF-A-KIND
Raise your hand if you’re always on the hunt for someone totally unique that just oozes your personal style. And the thought of no one else having what you found gets you pumped up like nothing else. Thrift shopping is for you my friend, and you’re in the right place.
FAQ
what makes good market different?
Our Reach-For Checklist (12-steps to ensure the item has serious wear-again potential) and one-of-a-kind approach - curated, clean, and conscious.
how do I know something will fit?
Shopping online can be tricky, we get it. Here’s our expert tip: find an item of clothing you own (if you’re looking at blouse on our website, find a blouse in your closet that you like the fit of) and measure across the chest from armpit to armpit. We usually provide a measurement in the listing to help you compare against something you already own. If it’s not there, (usually when it’s a modern item) it’s best to visit the brand’s size guide to get a better sense of fit.
can I pick up in store?
Yes, simply choose 'shop location' as your shipping option during checkout.
what if my order is not as described?
Our Love-It Guarantee means you can exchange it within 14-day, no questions asked.
Kindly remember, vintage pieces often come with signs of wear, which contribute to their character. We strive to highlight any significant flaws, but minor imperfections may still be present. Additional photos provided in listings show details, textures or identified flaws for consideration.
Try it on, see how it feels. If it’s not your vibe, just send it back - no stress, no drama. You deserve to feel good in your clothes.
For when something falls outside our exchange policy: While we do our best to inspect items thoroughly, alas we are but human. If you've purchased an item on-line and feel as though there was something significant undisclosed to you, please email us so we can make it right.
do my items need to be cleaned?
Almost everything we sell is cleaned, steamed, or freshly pressed. If your item comes with a hangtag that has our wash logo on it, it is ready to wear.
do you buy clothing?
No, we do not buy clothing from the public. The majority of our inventory is purchased wholesale. However, we do accept donations from our customers. If you're like us, you care about your clothes and want them to go to a good home, and live another life. Often times donations dropped off at donation centres get damaged, or end up overseas or in the landfill - plus two of the largest thrift chains in Canada are for-profit (and one of them is a US company). At good market, your valuables are handled with care and we want them to live another life. Thank you in advance for supporting a local, female-owned business in your community.
are you a charity?
We are a local, female-owned for-profit business. The negative impacts of overproduction in the fashion industry is disastrous - environmentally and socially. So our mission is to advocate for the planet and her people by encouraging you to use what's already out there rather than buying new.
Our goal is to deeply embed ourselves in this mission in our community. So while traditional charity shops are on a mission to help newcomers and low-income citizens (a totally worthy cause!) ours is focused on mother earth and climate activism. We want to leave the world a better place than we found it.
